Order in the Courts

1 Chronicles 24
They served in this appointed order when they entered The Temple of God, following the procedures laid down by their ancestor Aaron as God, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
1 Chronicles 24:19 MSG
God always puts things in the right order. We see so many examples of this through the Bible. Some examples are the ark that Noah built, the Israelites leaving Egypt, the preparation the birth of Jesus through Mary…there are so many more.
It is often difficult to see this order in the messiness of life. The questions about why things happen and when things happen have answers that we may never understand. In the moments of not understanding, in moments of confusion, in moments of doubt, there is always room for grace and mercy. It is important to remember, even in the confusion, that there is order.
Order my steps in thy word: And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Psalm 119:133 KJV
I think it can require much faith to live everyday with the thought that there is order, that there is purpose.

And, I think that living in that faith requires some thought, some action, some surrrender.
I am reflecting on the decisions and the surrender made by so many young people at Motion last week. And,!reminded of the words of Monday’s post about the importance of decisions.
If you did not read Monday’s post, please make some time to do that!
Make a decision today to follow in God’s order. To seek out God’s order. To dwell in God’s order.
Let the above Psalm be our prayer for today…
Prayer: Jesus, orders our steps in Your word. Let us not be so swayed by the winds of this world and our thoughts. Let us hear Your thoughts daily. Let us feel Your love daily. Let us share Your love daily. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
