God Has the Final Say

2 Chronicles 19
Now let the fear of the Lord be on you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.
2 Chronicles 19:7 NIV
This verse kept popping out to me as I read this chapter over and over. With the Lord, there is no injustice, partiality, or bribery. What does that mean to me? God doesn’t like injustice so I believe he will show up when I am in an unfair situation. He will help bring justice to the situation but I also must stay attached to the vine as it says in John 15: this is for all of his children.
Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn’t God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren’t they the ones who will inherit the Kingdom he promised to those who love him?
James 2:5 NLT
Regardless of where we are in our walk with Christ, he shows no favoritism. We can often find ourselves in situations where we think justice should be done the way we think is best. Maybe we think that what we did wasn’t so bad so we don’t really deserve correction or maybe someone hurt us so badly that they deserve to be taught a lesson. Either way, you look at it, God is the judge and he will bring justice to a situation the way he decides to do it.

He gave them these orders: “You must serve faithfully and wholeheartedly in the fear of the Lord.”
2 Chronicles 19:9 NIV
I must focus on serving the Lord during times like these. I must stay connected to God and have faith that regardless of the outcome, God will make something beautiful out of the situation.
Lord, thank you for always staying true to your word. You give us so many things to learn in this life here on earth and provide comfort and peace through your scriptures. Help me remain close to you through all trials. Seeking you for guidance, understanding, and correction. In Jesus' name Amen
