and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the temple of God.

The chapter tells us about how Solomon brings the Ark of the Covenant to the temple. It was a celebration with many musicians and singers praising the Lord.

I love how the people spend time gathering to sing and worship the Lord.

The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang: “He is good; his love endures forever.…..

I remember back when I first started going to church, I couldn’t get into the worship music. I hated that I didn’t know any of the songs. So then I decided to start listening to the worship music in my car. Fast forward 8 years, I pretty much only listen to worship music. It’s part of my everyday life and I love it! It’s now so much more important for me to worship the Lord through singing. It invited the Holy Spirit into whatever I’m doing or going through.

Lord, thank you for giving your people the gift of music. The songs that are sung to give you praise are so beautiful and powerful. Thank you for allowing me to feel your presence during worship. Amen.
