Pursuit of Wisdom

2 Chronicles 9
King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings of the earth. All the kings of the earth sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.
2 Chronicles 9:22-23 NIV
This chapter says a lot about King Solomon. The Queen of Sheba made a trip to see him. She traveled a long way to see if the stories she heard about him were true. She saw his wisdom and realized that he was wiser than she thought. We know that it was an honor to receive praise from the Queen of Sheba. This was an act recognized by Jesus in Matthew 12
I keep thinking about friends that I know have a lot of wisdom. All wisdom is great but it’s so much better to have Godly wisdom. I have a few people in my life that I know I can reach out to for Godly wisdom. I know that their advice aligns with the word of God. The only way to be confident that their wisdom is inspired by God is for me to be in his word getting to know him and studying his character.
Prayer: Lord, your word reveals so much about you. Your spirit lives within the pages of the Bible and penetrates our hearts and minds. When I am reading your word please give me wisdom and understanding so that I can be that friend that friend that provides Godly wisdom. In Jesus' mighty name , Amen
