SOAP Isaiah 48: Rebel Rebel

Rebel Rebel

ISAIAH 48

Israel was being rebellious again. The Lord tells them what is going to happen but they don’t listen. God reminds them that he is the Alpha and the Omega.

It was my hand that laid the foundations of the earth, my right hand spread out the heavens above. When I call out the stars, they all appear in order.

Isaiah 48:13 NLT

Israel is constantly forgetting what God had gotten them through and verse 18 stuck out to me.

Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.

Isaiah 48:18 NLT

There were many times when the Lord told me what was going to happen or told me what I needed to do. I didn’t always listen to what was said. I remember a time when God told me loud and clear that I shouldn’t be in a close relationship with someone. I ignored God. It gave me an uneasiness that I couldn’t get rid of. No peace at all. Had I listened, I could have avoided so much stress. The great thing is, God always shows up in every situation. He is the alpha and the omega and he puts everything back in order.

They were not thirsty when he led them through the desert. He divided the rock, and water gushed out for them to drink.

Isaiah 48:21 NLT

God provided me with comfort and strength to finally let the friendship go. He was also teaching me to hear his voice know his voice and obey his voice.

Prayer: Lord, Thank you for speaking to me in a way that I can hear you. I love that even though I can be hard-headed, you still speak to me. I pray that you continue to speak to me and that your voice becomes more familiar. Please continue to order my steps. In Jesus' name Amen.
