The Lord’s Redemption

ISAIAH 54
This chapter talks about how the Lord is going to redeem his people and how they need to prepare for all of the descendants they will have. He is showing his love to the people.
Just as I swore in the time of Noah that I would never again let a flood cover the earth, so now I swear that I will never again be angry and punish you.
Isaiah 54:9 NLT
This verse shows the Lord’s heart. He doesn’t want to wipe out the world with a flood again out of anger. He wants to provide mercy like he did for Noah.
"For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
Isaiah 54:10 NLT
To me, that means that I can trust God. His word is true. He keeps his promises no matter the mistakes I make along the way. If I continue to run to him instead of running away from him, I will be able to really experience his loving-kindness.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being a promise keeper. I can be so undeserving of your love but you still call me your daughter. Like Ephesians 2:4 says, you are rich In Mercy because of how much you love us! Help me be obedient to your voice and to live a life that looks like Jesus. Amen.
So good to be reminded that His promises are still true despite any of my mistakes and missteps along the way.
