It Is All Yours!

ISAIAH 65
This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place? My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are mine. I, the Lord, have spoken! “I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word.“
Isaiah 66:1-2 NLT
God’s Message: “Heaven’s my throne, earth is my footstool. What sort of house could you build for me? What holiday spot reserve for me? I made all this! I own all this!” God’s Decree. “But there is something I’m looking for: a person simple and plain, reverently responsive to what I say.“
Isaiah 66:1-2 MSG
There is nothing that we could give God or do for God that would come close to His creation or what He has done for us. He doesn’t want us striving for acceptance or love. He has given us that. He doesn’t need magnificent buildings. He wants us. He created it all!! Everything.

He wants us to be open to Him, to abide in Him, to respond to Him. It would be so much easier to build a big lavish building, or a great holiday honoring Him. He wants our everyday life. Our whole life.
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
Romans 12:1-2 MSG
Give God every moment, good, hard, sad, anxious, or angry. He wants it all.
Readily recognize what He wants and respond.
Prayer: Jesus, forgive me for not always placing you first. I get caught up in day-to-day stuff,
feelings, and tasks. You matter more than it all, yet you want to be invited into it all. Help me invite you in. Help me keep all the spaces in my heart and mind open to You. Thank you for your great love and compassion toward me. Amen

So good!!
