Watchman

ISAIAH 21
The watchman said, The morning cometh,
and also the night: if you will inquire,
inquire ye: return, come.
Isaiah 21:12 NKJV
While reading this chapter this is the verse that stood out to me.
The morning cometh speaks of hope.
And also the night tells me the battle is not over.
I love pictures of sunrises and the sunsets.
The colors are always so vibrant and beautiful.
I’ve had not thought of them in a spiritual manner until I read this chapter.
The watchman has a revelation gift. They receive words of knowledge and wisdom. They are also assigned a specific list of duties in prayer and warfare that protect,
defend, observe, and warn the body of Christ.
The people came to the watchman to ask when will our torment end?

The answer they received was not what they had hoped. The morning will come, you will have a time of peace.
But so will the night, unless they return (repent).
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favor is life:
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Psalm 30:5 NKJV
No matter how dark the night,
no matter what you are going through,
the morning is coming.
That’s the promise.
Hold on, repent, seek Him and the wisdom of Godly people.
Listen to the watchman in your life.
God has placed them in your life to guard and care for you.
They are there to warn you of the dangers of turning away from God,
and to remind you of His promises.
Are you the watchman for someone else?
Has God placed them on your heart?
Has he given you a word on knowledge
or discernment about a situation?

Prayer: Jesus thank you for the people you have placed in our lives. We may not always want to hear what they have to say so Lord please open our hearts and help us to receive what you have for us. Give us discernment to know what is from you. Thank you that no matter the circumstances in our lives you are always there, you will never leave us or forsake us. Thank you for the promise that the morning is coming and we can have joy and peace in your promises.
In Jesus name, Amen.
